You have an important event that you want to attend, and you want to look your best on that day. You have decided to lose some weight. How would you go about it? First of all, you have to be realistic about your goals. If you have an important event in two weeks, you are not going to drop 50 pounds.

That is impossible, and attempts in doing so will be detrimental to your health.

Here are some suggestions for quick weight loss tricks that you can try.

The one thing that derails a lot of diet plans is the person's appetite. When you get hungry, of course you should eat.

However, for some people, they cannot control their portions because their appetite seems insatiable. If you have that problem, you can try drinking a glass of water with a tablespoon of chia seeds in it.

The chia seeds absorb the water and create bulk in your stomach so that you do not feel that hungry anymore. You can keep your meal portion sizes small and not have the urge to overeat. This is good way to curb your appetite for snacks too.

Just make sure that you eat at least 1,500 calories if you are a woman, and 1,500 calories if you are a man. That will give your body the minimum number of calories that it needs to function.

Your quick weight loss tricks can include quick workouts during the day to burn off extra calories.

Take ten minutes out at different times during the day and do some cardio exercises. Put a stationery bike in front of your television and pedal away while you are watching your favorite show so you can pedal longer. You can burn off a lot extra calories that way.

Make sure that your diet does not include an processed grains, white bread, white rice or white pasta. These are simple carbs that can add on the pounds without providing any significant nutrients. Stick with complex carbs that are more nutritious.

Eat fish for your protein. Fish contains the least amount of fat among the meats, and they are packed with protein. Fill your meals with lots of vegetables and just enough lean protein to keep your body satisfied.

These easy and quick weight loss tricks can help you shed those unwanted pounds. Just makes sure that you do not starve yourself.

Stay with a consistent, low-fat diet and keep your daily caloric intake to between 1,200 to 1,500 calories.

Fit in cardio exercises whenever you can. If you have the discipline to not go off-course from your plan, you can achieve the results that you want.
