When you are attempting to lose weight, there is no more important factor than how many calories you burn. After all, weight loss is simple science – calories taken in versus calories expended. The less calories you can take in and the more calories that you can expand, the better your results are going to be.

However, this leads many people to ask – which programs provide the best cardio for weight loss? Which are going to burn the most calories and lead to the biggest drops on the scale?

There are five cardio activities and programs that burn a tremendous amount of calories and will lead to amazing successes when it comes time to weigh in!

1 - Dance Fitness Classes

Many people absolutely love the joy and freedom that comes with dancing. The opportunity to throw your arms in the air, spin, and move with the beat is one that fills people with enthusiasm and happiness – and it burns a whole lot of calories at the same time.

One thing you should know before trying out a dance fitness class is that you don't have to be a great dancer to burn a lot of calories – in fact the majority of the people in these classes are not trained, or even talented, dancers.

For people that one a bit more of a challenge, there are many fitness classes around which simulate the experience of boot camp – complete with a drill instructor yelling at you to up the intensity all of the time.

If you cannot afford organized classes or a gym membership, remember that fitness is as close as walking out your front door.

Using public facilities like the community swimming pool or the sidewalks and has superior home, you can get just as fit as you could inside the walls of a gym.

4 - Organized Sports

Becoming part of a team offers many more benefits besides just being the best cardio for weight loss, but you burn a lot of calories as you play that sport as well – an added benefit to the experience of camaraderie that comes with being part of the team.

5 - Cardio Gym Equipment

If all else fails, you can burn a whole lot of calories by just climbing on the treadmill or the elliptical and pumping your legs for all they're worth!

Of whichever of these programs or activities you choose to utilize as your cardio exercise of choice, the main thing is to choose something that you enjoy and are extremely passionate about. Your passion will show through in your level of intensity, and you will burn more calories that way. Most importantly, however, if you are passionate about an activity you will not have to force yourself to do it day after day, but rather you will eagerly jump at the opportunity to go and do it again!

In the end, it is all about personal preference – the exercise which is the best cardio for weight loss for you is the one that you enjoy the most.

When you search for a weight loss program that will help you shed pounds, there are any number of factors that you need to consider before settling on one. After all, you are an individual - what works to help one person (or even many people) lose weight may be completely ineffective for you! The reverse is also true - just because a program has been widely panned by the general public, don't dismiss it out of hand as being something that could never be effective in your case.

So, when you are searching through weight loss review websites, trying to find a program that will be effective for you - what are some of the things that you should keep in mind?

1 - Make sure you choose a plan that will work with your lifestyle. For instance, if you are an incredibly busy person, you definitely don't want to choose a plan that requires a lot of preparation, either in work or in time. You will never end up sticking to the plan because it will be too complicated and too much trouble.

2 - Make sure, as you peruse the weight loss review directory, you focus on weight loss plans that fit within your budget. The truth is, no matter how important the concept of losing weight is to you, if you can't afford a plan, you won't continue to pay for it - you simply won't be able to! It would be a real shame to start getting acclimated to a plan, to be finally getting some real success, only to have to give it up at the last minute because of finances. That would be heartbreaking.

3 - Make sure you choose a plan that fits in with any dietary restrictions or allergy issues that you might have. No matter how effective a certain plan is in helping you lose weight, it won't do any good if it makes you sick or even lands you in the hospital! Nothing is more important than your health. Your health and well-being is, after all, the number one reason that you should be attempting to lose the excess weight in the first place! It does no good to sacrifice your physical health in the name of losing weight - particularly when there is such a large number and wide variety of weight loss plans out there that can help you shed pounds and still keep you safe!

By keeping an open mind and applying the strict filtering criteria above, you should absolutely be able to narrow down a plan that will be effective in helping you to lose weight quickly and easily!
