Try these tips to maintain the energy you need for your hectic life:
1. Create a regular exercise schedule and stick to it.
Exercise is one of the easiest ways to find more energy on a daily basis.
Exercise boosts metabolism and helps you avoid feeling sluggish.
A regular exercise schedule is essential for seeing results. However, you can try different workouts and classes to keep things interesting.
2. Balance your breakfast with both carbohydrates and protein.
Eating a bagel with coffee may be easy in the morning, but you'll have more energy if you add peanut butter or meat to the bagel. Balancing carbs with protein gives you more energy throughout the day.

7. Mash chia seeds and add them to smoothies. Chia seeds are high in protein and minerals.
Mashing chia seeds can make them easier to drink in your smoothies. You can also add them to your food. Sprinkle the seeds on top of salads or casseroles.
8. Stay hydrated in unique ways. Water is crucial for giving you the energy to keep going during the day. However, it can be challenging to drink plain water and get the required amount.

A Healthy Nut Milk Shake
If you're a Dairy Queen fanatic, I understand the compulsion. It's hard to beat a soft serve on a hot day or with a hot date.
Unfortunately, most desserts and snacks made with traditional, pasteurized dairy and sugar are anything but healthy for your body.
But don't despair because I have a great alternative for you, an easy and delicious recipe:
Health Nut Milk Shake
3/4 cup almonds, soaked 2-8 hours or
3/4 cup cashews, soaked 1-2 hours
4 dates, soaked 1-2 hours (save soak water)
3-4 peeled frozen bananas
3 cups cold filtered water or apple juice
1 tsp non-alcoholic vanilla extract
2 Tbs raw carob powder
A few fresh berries
1 tsp ground cinnamon
In blender, combine nuts, dates and water or juice until smooth.
Break frozen banana into pieces, add to mixture and
blend until smooth.
Add one or more optional flavors if desired.
Pour into glasses. Serves 4.
Note: When making your favourite healthy fruit smoothies, adding some protein powder or healthy nutritional supplement powder to recipes helps to make them superfoods!

Natural Beauty recipe:
Soothing Bath Treatments
Foaming Vanilla Honey Bath
1 cup sweet almond oil (light olive or sesame oil may be substituted)
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup liquid soap (plain or flower scented)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Mix all the ingredients together and pour about 1/2 cup under running water into tub.
Relax and enjoy!
Put the remainder in a canning jar for later use and refrigerate for up-to 30 days.
Homemade Milk and Sea Salt Bath
Want Luxurious Skin? This milk bath is great for all skin types.
1 cup of instant dried skim milk
3/4 cup of either fine or coarse sea salt
20 - 25 drops of fragrance oil if desired or 15 - 20 drops of essential oils
Instructions: Place the dried milk and sea salt into a large bowl.
Mix well. Scoop out about 1/2 cup or so and place into small bowl.
Sprinkle your fragrance
or essential oils over the top of this mixture and stir well. Add this back into the main bowl and thoroughly mix. Store your milk bath in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid.
Now just scoop out about 1/3 cup and dissolve under running bath water. Jump in and relax!
This recipe makes enough for about 5 or 6 baths.

- Energy starts with a good night's sleep. If you don't get the rest you need you'll never have any energy.
- For a lasting energy, snack on protein foods like skinless poultry, fish and pasta.
- Avoid sugar type snacks.
- A coke, a cup of coffee or other beverages with caffeine will give you a quick temporary boost of energy but if you take too much you will feel worse later on when the caffeine wears off.
- Since sleep is a source of energy be sure to avoid alcohol or caffeine close to bed time to assure you of a better quality of sleep.
- If it is possible, take a short nap in early afternoon. You will be surprised at how well you will feel, often better than when you first get up in the morning.
