What Are Normal Blood Pressure Readings?

Just what are normal blood pressure readings? Well to be honest every doctor or hospital goes by their own chart what is considered normal blood pressure reading. Through the research I have done, there are many different readings one could get to be considered to have normal blood pressure readings.

Throughout the day a person’s blood pressure can go up or down. For instance you may check your blood pressure in the middle of the day and it reads 110/72. Then later that night it may read 120/80. Those are both considered to be in the normal range.

Anything higher than 120/80 is early signs of hypertension and should not be taken lightly. So make sure you get that taken care of so you don’t have any major problems later on in life.

So really the normal range varies between numbers and as long it stays that way then a person should have nothing to worry about. That’s a good thing, who else needs one more thing to worry about.

So you are getting a little older now and you are wondering how you can maintain that low reading. Well, I would tell you to do exactly what you have been doing. Just because you may be getting a little older does not mean you have to stop those things.

Exercising and dieting are two of the most important things in your life when it comes to keeping your blood pressure down. If you don’t have a regimen and you still have low blood pressure well, now may be a good time to start exercising.

Start walking 20 to 30 minutes a day and that should be good enough to start out with. Then gradually increase that little by little. Then you may want to get into some type of cardio classes at the local gym. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

Now your diet, well if you have normal blood pressure then chances are you are doing good on your diet. However there is always room for improvement. As you get older, your metabolism rate slows down, nothing we can do about it, it’s a fact.

Many have had to change their diet so that great reading of their blood pressure stays the same. So you will have to do the same. It doesn’t take a lot of change just some minor adjustments.

One adjustment is watching your salt intake. You may want to cut back on putting salt on your meals, there are other things out there that can flavor your food the way you want it without eventually making your blood pressure go up.

Same goes for the sodas we drink day in and day out. Take a look at the sodium in each serving, mind boggling. Drink water instead, it’s better for you and easier on your wallet.

So now you know what the normal blood pressure range should be. You also know how to keep it like that, so you just killed two birds with one stone.
