Combine aerobic and anaerobic exercises. Aerobic exercises include dancing, walking, jogging and sports. This type of exercise helps in keeping your heart and cardiovascular system active and lets you burn calories quickly.
Anaerobic exercise or weight training lets you build strong muscles, leaner muscles. These muscles use more calories. Toning these lean muscles will help achieve your ideal fat loss results. What exactly are these groups of muscles that you need to tone?
- upper body muscles (shoulders or deltoids, biceps, triceps, forearms
- torso (back and abdominals)
- leg muscles (quadriceps, hamstring, calves)
One tip to keep in mind, after exercising one group of muscles, let it rest for at least one day before exercising that group again.
