Well, Hello!

My story in Herbalife briefly goes like this:

Beginnings of arthritis in arms and knees - Weighed down by many extra kilos. Wondering just how long I could keep going with my work. I was 58 at that time.

Part . In 1992, my wife Dawn and I met with David Exon at a family meal. The next day we left Dunolly Victoria, loaded up with Herbalife goodies anxious to start the program.

Dawn was not sure of the effects that Herbalife would have, and would not let me start it until we arrived back in Kalgoorlie WA., unless she was left to all the driving!!

Two days after arriving home and starting on Herbalife, I wondered if I had been psyched up, but Dawn said she was feeling the difference also. Ten weeks later and 15kgs lighter and feeling 12-15 years younger. I was hooked on Herbalife – for life.

And Oh! My arthritis had gone too!

Part II. About ten years ago I somehow got loaded up with a bug called helicobacter-plyori, and ended up in a mess with CFS, (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). I wondered how this had happened while being on Herbalife, because I had met a lady who had come completely out of CFS by going onto the Herbalife products.

I was to find out that her CFS was probably stress and toxin related, from which most people recover with good diet and rest. However bacteria type related CFS is much more difficult to treat. I was told that Herbalife was known to help such people to gain a better level of life back, but that some never actually came out of it.

I certainly found that Herbalife helped, but the struggle with this ‘dog’s disease ( I reckon it is not fit for humans), continued. The powerful doses of antibiotics consumed to get rid this ‘helicopter’ bug – found it heard to get my tongue and mind around the helicbater thing – stripped my immune system and for six months had re-occurring chests infections.

Friends recommended other products, which I tried in an attempt to get a better life. Not only did they not help, I actually regressed. But within three or four days of going back onto the Herbalife products I noticed a definite lift in my wellbeing.

On several occasions I have felt that I was really coming out of CFS, but, I did what apparently is quite common with CFS suffers; you get a bit of normal strength back and you forget what you’ve got and go flat out at life again. It is not long before the ‘battery’ is flattened again, and you start from scratch, again. Well, almost so anyway.

About four years ago I had one such lift and this time it was a full twelve months of increasing energy, and I was so thankful to God for this new lease of life. But, bang! Down I went again with a massive chest infection – I had been plagued with a weak chest as a child. This time it was started by a good (?) dose of fibre glass insulation dust as I helped with some electrical repair work.

The end result of this was five days in hospital, two of those days was due to a slow heart beat of 40bpm. This ultimately led to a stent in my heart and twelve months later to a pacemaker.

Time has passed with its ups and downs, but I always kept to a maintenance Herbalife intake. However prior to Christmas 2007 due to stress I relaxed my hold on my other food intake, and stacked on the weight again. I found this to be related to insulin resistance, which I did not understand, apart from the fact that I had it.

It was not until my heart specialist declared me diabetic that I really got alarmed, but he insisted that I go on medication to get my blood sugars down. However in talking it over with my G.P. he agreed have me stop the medication, and do frequent blood sugar tests at home, and for to me do it my way, which was by going onto a full Herbalife program. After this I was to have another glucose tolerance test.

In six weeks I lost 10kgs and my blood sugars were down from 7.0 to 6.3. [That, the Doc’ said, created a problem for him. He never did elucidate on in though. But I think it was that technically I was not diabetic, but having been declared so by my specialist it was difficult contradict it. I guess that is full of ramifications.] So I did not have to go onto medication.

Since the start of my last initiative on Herbalife, with plenty of exercise and cutting out unnecessary ingredients from foods, I have started up my pastoral work again in travelling 700kms into out into the desert, about once a month. Something that I have not been able to do for over four years.
