Hi, I’m Keith Dobson,

I’m an RN Division 1 (Psychiatric).

For many years I worked in Aged Care and then went on to manage and then own my own Aged Care facilities.

Working in the industry I have become acutely aware of the issues that are faced by the patients and by the staff that run the system.

Our professional bodies tell us that up to 80% of morbidity and mortality are directly related to nutritional causes and yet we seem to be neglecting these issues and concentrating instead on dealing with the symptoms that present.

Why would we not look deeper into the causes and deal with the problem rather than just waiting till people present with health issues and then trying to deal with them then?

I was not happy to work in Aged Care when it should be done better so I investigated and become involved and ended up owning a series of facilities in my own right.

Now I am focusing my attention to this health problem. Australia is now officially the fattest country in the world. We can extrapolate out what this is going to cost us in health care and the result is frightening. Obviously something is going to be done about this and the answer is probably not going to come from traditional medicine.

If there is a change in the way we work and the way we think then there need to be people to tell the story and show people what to do. This is where I need your help.

I did my usual Due Diligence into this problem and have moved from being a skeptic to being open to nutritional factors as being essential for good health.

We know that DRUG A comes from Belladonna (a plant product that can heal or can kill), we know that cranberry juice is a useful tool in dealing with UTI’s..

Botanical factors have been at the root of good medicine for as long as we have offered medical intervention.

I firmly believe that we are going to need to turn to nutrition factors to heal with the health issues we are currently facing.

What does this mean to you and to me?

I investigated the nutrition industry, found the biggest direct sale nutrition company in the world and tested what their products were. I only work with the best products in anything I do.

I then looked at the way they distribute their products. The “direct sale” model obviously works as they are turning over Billions of dollars of supplements a year. The problem is the distributors. I see people who have no skills and little interest in medicine and health care selling nutrition supplements to people with health problems.

That excited me. If people with no idea of what they are doing can succeed in this market then a close knit team of people with a medical or health background, who know at least have an idea of what they are talking about can make a real impact.

The business model is to become an independent distributor and to establish a customer base around your current activities.

Knowing what we are talking about means we do not need to spend a lot of time doing this as we understand people’s problems, our job with this is just to show people how they can use supplements as a tool in repairing their health.

What I am currently putting together a little team of people here in Melbourne who I can work with to build business around. There is enough in a retail business, worked part time, to allow more financial options in most lives.

Setting up a distributorship costs $325. Servicing a client group of 20 people who are using an Advanced Nutrition program can return over $2,500 a month. (Daily cost of products for these meal replacements is around $10 which is less than may people are spending on lunch already).

I’m looking for people with a nursing background, like I have, who can cut through the hype and deal in facts. There is a market out there that needs products that we have the skill to show them what they should use.

Once we have a base of business established then I am looking to work together to build a distribution team around these distributors to create additional areas of income.
